Step Function is excited to share that we have been selected to be a part of Cohort 4 of the Breakthrough Energy Fellows program! We are honored to be starting alongside 13 other innovative companies to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries.

Step Function will be developing a globally-scalable, ultra-low-cost and climate-neutral fuel production process that leverages the chemical potential of ferrous-iron-rich industrial wastes or natural minerals – and thereby avoids the use of electricity or biomass.
