Prior to his current role at sF, Dave was the Acting Deputy Director for Technology and Programs at ARPA-E, where he also served as a Program Director.  In his role as a Program Director, he launched the INTEGRATE and DIFFERENTIATE programs. He was also one of the architects of ARPA-E's aviation portfolio and led the REEACH program.  Prior to ARPA-E, Dave worked for United Technologies Corporation in roles at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC), Pratt & Whitney, and UTC Power.  Prior to United Technologies, he was a Postdoc at MIT in the Gas Turbine Lab , where he also earned SM & PhD degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics.  He also has an MBA from Columbia and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
